The male (screw) portion has a slotted head while the female (post) head is unslotted. The 3/8” and smaller length posts have a HOLE in the post head to accommodate the length of the screw. The 1/4” and 3/8” posts are available BLIND (NO HOLE) and require a shorter screw.
What does BLIND (NO HOLE) mean?
The blind Chicago screws we produce come without a hole on the bottom. Screws are drilled and tapped right through to allow the screw bottom out. We ship blind sets with the shorter screw to accommodate for the smaller drilling.
